There is no hierarchy of people, animals, and objects in Yoon Jeongwon’s painting. 'Two Dolphins', 'Red Duck' is a work that reveals her unique imagination and artistic characteristics where different races, animals, and hybrid creatures co-exist joyfully in harmony inside the ideal and surreal atmosphere. With its delightful and loose composition, her fantasy questions about the true blessings of life. She studied in Germany and has been internationally acclaimed for winning the International Art Award at Kunstverein. She expresses her thoughts on human desire and liberation through various media using Barbie dolls as chandeliers, objects, installation, photography, and many more.
Artist's Note
Why did we have to dream about unnecessary things, and keep music. art, and in our hearts?
Wild sheep are very sensitive animals, but they like sloping, bumpy and rocky hills. I think of Endymion, a handsome boy who was a shepherd in Greek mythology who freely ran around there. And now he lives in love, looking for the girl with a fantasy that reconciles the ideals and reality, even if he cannot have the love that could sympathize with the misery of being a human. I dance while listening to music and go on like this.
