작품 소개

This body of work focuses on the inlay technique (象嵌技法), particularly the stamped decoration technique of Buncheong ware (粉靑沙器印花技法).

The process begins by creating basic forms through various forming techniques, including coil building, wheel throwing, slab construction, and hollowing. These individual forms are then combined with one another, or expanded through the addition and extension of surfaces to complete the final structure.

After a certain period of drying, patterns are impressed onto the semi-dried clay surface using stamps engraved with various raised designs, creating incised marks. These impressions are then filled with slip and allowed to harden. By carefully scraping away the excess slip with a sharp tool, a distinctive surface texture emerges, created through the repetition of simple yet rhythmic patterns.

This body of work pursues the maximization of form, decorative qualities, surface texture, color, and overall refinement. It serves as the foundation for the development of all subsequent series.
