Choi moved to Paris in the 1980s, where she opened her eyes to the art world and embarked on a full-fledged career as a painter. He remained in Paris for 15 years, and in 2000, in his mid-40s, he moved to New York City, the home of contemporary art, where he created the Black and White Series, which has since garnered the attention of galleries. His paintings are characterized by the use of geometric signs and symbols to create unique compositions, intense and primitive monochromatic colors, and free line drawings reminiscent of graffiti. The artist hopes that his works, which are the result of countless hours of experimentation and patience, will remind modern people of the joyful play of childhood and give them a free view of artistic practice.
